Overview
The GI 275 is a touchscreen electronic flight instrument capable of recording detailed flight data. It offers two methods for data extraction: automatic wireless transfer via Garmin Pilot (requires subscription) or manual extraction via a USB drive (requires GSB 15).How it works
Method 1: Automatic Wireless (Garmin Pilot)
Requires an active Garmin Pilot subscription and a paired device.
Requires an active Garmin Pilot subscription and a paired device.
- Pairing: Ensure your mobile device is paired to the GI 275 via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi.
- In-Flight: Garmin Pilot must be running and active for the entire duration of the flight. The data is streamed via Connect to your device.
- Sync: Upon landing, Garmin Pilot syncs the data to flyGarmin.
- Link to FlySto: Log into flyGarmin → Logbook → Sharing
- Click Connect Account next to FlySto and authorize.
- Click Manage Sharing and select Share Logs for your aircraft.
Method 2: Manual USB Export (Requires GSB 15)
Does not require Garmin Pilot.
Does not require Garmin Pilot.
- Insert Drive: Insert a USB flash drive into the GSB 15 USB charger port in your panel.
- Record: Flight data is automatically recorded to the drive while flying (1 GB stores ~1,000 hours).
- Upload: Remove the drive, connect it to your computer, and upload the files manually to FlySto.
Notes
If your wireless logs are missing despite being paired, it is often a configuration issue within the Garmin Pilot app.
Wireless transfer will not work with ForeFlight.
