Area-based flags

24 September 2026
  • Trigger flights based on flights inside or outside defined areas.
  • Combine multiple areas to define exceptions, such as flagging activity inside one area while excluding another.
  • Define areas by entering coordinates or editing them graphically.

Supported aborted takeoffs in flags

10 September 2026

Flag configuration can track aborted takeoffs.

  • Ground Roll Tracking: Aborted takeoffs can be included when evaluating flags during the “Ground roll” takeoff phase.
  • Standalone Maneuver Selection: Aborted takeoff added as a distinct maneuver in flag configuration. Allows triggering flags specifically during aborted takeoffs while excluding normal takeoffs.

Enhanced Takeoff Summaries & Flight Visuals

  • New Ground Roll Metrics: “Takeoff Performance” section now displays takeoff Distance and Centerline Deviation.
  • Color-Coded Alerts: Centerline deviation during takeoff includes color-coded alerts triggered at 15 and 25 feet.
  • Clearer Deviation Graphs: Centerline deviation graphs now highlight the exact portion by skipping the entry and exit paths, providing a much clearer view.
  • Runway Visualizations: Graphs for Distance from Centerline and Distance to Runway Edge now display the runway directly within the graph itself for better awareness.

Flight plan display

19 August 2026

You can now view and compare your filed flight plans directly alongside your actual flight data!

  • Plan vs. Actual: A new dedicated panel and map overlay let you easily compare the route you planned with the route you actually flew.
  • Auto-syncs FAA flight plans to your logs (U.S. GA flights only).
  • Aircraft on the FAA privacy (LADD) list are hidden by default. If you own a blocked aircraft, just email us at team@flysto.net to verify ownership and enable this feature.

Advanced log filtering

Finding the exact flights you’re looking for just got easier! Combine multiple filters to instantly narrow down your logs by

  • Tags: e.g., [With: “personal”] + [Without: “business”]
  • Airports: e.g., [From: KREG] + [To: KJWN]
  • Crew Roles: e.g., [Pilot Flying: You] + [Pilot Monitoring: Your Friend]

New flag configuration options for multi-engine aircraft

  • “For all engines” Option: Use this setting to trigger a flag only when your specified condition is met across all engines simultaneously.
  • “Asymmetric Thrust” Condition: Use this to restrict a flag specifically to real or simulated engine failure scenarios.
  • “Not Asymmetric Thrust” Condition: Use this to explicitly exclude engine failure scenarios from triggering the flag.

Yaw damper support in flags

If your aircraft is equipped with a yaw damper and utilizes Garmin G3X avionics, you can now monitor the yaw damper’s state within your flag configurations.

Predefined flags: Two new predefined flags are now available to verify that the yaw damper is properly turned off during the takeoff and landing phases.

New maneuvers support

8 August 2026

Added support for the Chandelle and Power-off approach maneuvers in the Maneuvers review section.

Fewer false flags on training flights

Predefined minimum height rules added for Approach to stall and Slow flight (1500 ft AGL, 3000 ft AGL for multi-engine aircraft), and both maneuvers are now excluded from the Too close to stall low-airspeed rule.

Sort Insights by crew

16 July 2026

Insights charts for Totals, Averages, Flags, and Approach limits can now be sorted by crew member.

More flexible minimum duration settings for Flags

Choose whether the minimum duration for Flags is automatic, manual, or disabled to detect even the shortest data spikes.

Eights on pylons maneuver

Added support for the Eights on pylons maneuver in the Maneuvers review section.

New Cockpit View settings

You can now adjust the camera's field of view and tilt in the Cockpit View settings. A new Tape HSI style is also available, helping reduce clutter on smaller screens.

Weather in Cockpit View

29 June 2026
